When it comes to Bollywood, August is going to be one hot month to look out for with a skew of flicks set for a release. The list includes Akshay Kumar's Singh Is Kinng, Rock On, Heroes, Mumbai Cutting and others. But what makes the month all the more interesting is the fact that two of the most awaited flicks, Salman Khan starrer God Tussi Great Ho and Ranbir Kapoor`s Bachna Ae Haseeno are releasing on the same date.
It is a known fact that Yash Raj has already suffered at the box office. Their past few releases failed to click with the audience and now when they are looking forward to the most happening of their banner BAH , it's clashing with GTGH which boasts of all the biggies including Amitabh, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra.
It can be recalled that Rumi Jaffery's film was supposed to release on July 18 along with Aziz Mirza's Kismat Connection . But now it has been postponed to August 15. When contacted director Rumi Jaffery said, "Yes, the release date of my film has been shifted because of special effects which form an integral part of the film. It requires a lot of time. That's why we have had to postpone it till August."
However, Rumi, who was totally unaware till we informed him that his movie will be releasing along with Yash Raj's BAH doesn't have any qualms. "I am not aware of that but doesn't it bother my movie. My film has shaped up well and it has stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra. I am not aware whether Yash Raj has spoken to my producer about this. I am confident about my product and so the box office clash is not an issue for me; I am not at all worried."
Needless to say that Salman's popularity and star value is more than that of newcomer Ranbir Kapoor`s. And it is not the first time that Ranbir's movie is clashing with another big movie. Though GTGH has all stars, Yash Raj's BAH stars Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba along with new hot couple Deepika and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles. It can be recalled that Ranbir's debut movie Saawariya released with Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om .
As Ranbir's first film failed to make it at the box office; we wish him luck for his second film. It remains to be seen which flick clicks and which doesn't with the audience. Whatever be the result at the box office, it's a sure treat for the movie buffs with options galore!
