One had almost got used to seeing Ranbir Kapoor with his beard. It had almost become an intrinsic part of him, these last six months. But all that has changed as the young lad has decided to go clean again.
The actor had grown a beard as he was playing a sardar in Shimit Amin's next called 'Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year'. All through the shoot, which lasted for a period of six months, the actor stayed with this authentic bearded looked. It is only now, once the film's shooting is over, that he decided to go back to his scrubby clean, boyish look. In fact, according to sources, the actor could not wait to go back to his earlier look. Within hours of wrapping up his final schedule for 'Rocket Singh', Ranbir was back in his clean shaven avataar and shot for a promotional music video for 'Wake Up Sid'. The actor has another pending commitment, which is Prakash Jha's 'Rajneeti'. He is expected to resume shooting for that film next month. Coincidentally, Ranbir's father also played a sardar recently in Imtiaz Ali's 'Love Aaj Kal'. Of course! Saif Ali Khan played the younger Rishi Kapoor in the movie. Ranbir is one of the many in the long line of heroes and heroines who have played sardars in reel life. The latest entrant into this male world is none other than Rani Mukherjee who will be seen in full sardar glory in her next release 'Dil Bole Hadippa'. Meanwhile, Ranbir's dil must be singing 'hadippa' as he has managed to get back to his original self
