Hoegaarden

Flemish milkman turned legendary brewer Pierre Celis founded Hoegaarden in the sixties, though he sold his stake in the business to coinvestor Interbrew (now InBev) several years ago. (Celis then repeated the experience in Austin, Texas, where he brewed his namesake White with Hoegaarden's original formula before selling out to Miller.) History lesson aside, back in Belgium InBev continues to make a tasty summer beer, fruited with bitter curaƧao orange peels and coriander. And thanks to the beverage giant's nationwide distribution network, fresh sixers of the stuff are easy to find.
